Hi everyone,

A latest update for the dissertation is that Dr Rachel Grainger has uploaded some further sample documents to show you how to display your dissertation material.

I have provided for you here the material that was submitted to Blackboard in case for some reason you can’t log into Blackboard or you have yet to enrol on the module, or whatever other reason it may be.

I’ve spoken to Dr Grainger and she confirmed that we are to submit two black-tape bound copies of the dissertation on the 10th March 2008, along with a CD attached to one of the copies, including the Assignment Cover Sheet and Feedback Form, which does not have to be bound inside the dissertations, just attached in some way outside the book so that at least one of the copies has the CD and the cover sheet attached together as one.

In addition, with regards to the printing facilities in Trefforest, I would like to note that they are available Monday to Thursday from 9:00am – 4:30pm and on Friday from 9:00am – 4:00pm.

Hi everyone,

Rachel has put up the dissertation cover sheet on Blackboard, it’s the same as the one I’ve offered previously for you to download, at this link.

In order to access the Blackboard Course Module, you need to go to BlackBoard and enrol on the Module CRITICAL RESEARCH (2007/08). The module code is DG3S10_2007_V1. The files are located under Course Materials.

On a final note, I’ve gone to Trefforest and asked about printing and binding your dissertations to submit them on Monday. The reprographics department there was very helpful and informative. They said that it will cost £1.20 for binding the book and roughly £1.00 for printing the pages (black and white), estimated at around 30 pages which should be more than enough for 5,000-5,500 words along with appendixes, bibliography, illustrations, contents, etc. It can be done on the same day, and the binding can even take place while you wait, so it will be a fast service!

Consider printing the work at home if you want to speed things up.
